GHMC waits for permission from Traffic PoliceMadhapur: Possibly one of the worst things that could happen is a dug-up road left as such in front of a hospital’s emergency section.
Highlights:
- Roads in front of a hospital dug-up
- Debris and mud left on the street in open
- Software employees, ambulances, and water tankers travel on the route
- Minor accidents keep taking places regularly
The road in front of Max Cure Hospital behind Cyber Towers here has posed itself as a danger to commuters, especially patients who visit the hospital. As a consequence to the ditches and debris on the road, ambulances are stuck in heavy traffic and congestion, tragically, only a few metres away from the hospital.
According to locals, the problem has been persisting for a few months now. Hundreds of people travel through this route and so far, authorities have not bothered to fix it, inform residents. P Vijay, a software employee said, “It is really a tough task to come this way and the lane is uneven and difficult to travel.”
Meanwhile, health issues are on the rise owing to uneven roads. A professional who resides in the area, A Kumar said, “I am suffering from back pain for over a month now and I am forced to come this way as my office is in the lane. I need to be extra conscious while travelling this way.”
Sharing the plight of emergency cases, K Ramu, a resident said, “Ambulance and water tankers keep passing this lane and there is no room for motorists to pass. There is always one or the other vehicle coming, and the roads are not proper. Many a times, the vehicle skids or falls down as the path is muddy.”
When contacted, West zone Joint Commissioner Hari Chandana said, “We wanted to lay a road on this route for quite some time now. We are waiting for permission from the Traffic Police. If they block this road then we can start the work.”
