Chandrayangutta: Stray dogs attacked three children who were returning from school at Keshavgiri here on Friday. Residents have been complaining for over a month, but the authorities are yet to respond, says Raghav, a local. Children fear being bitten and are always in a state of fear.

Mohammed Khalid, a resident of Barkas says, “Every morning, hundreds of children who study at the Kendriya Vidyalaya pass through the area but the dog catching squad has not responded though we have complained several times.” Last year also, a 12-year-old boy was bitten by a dog near Chandrayangutta X Road. Raghav says, “If dogs bite people, the government and animal activists have no problem but if a dog is beaten, then all hell breaks loose.”
