Delivery boys demanding extra for gas cylinder
The delivery boys and trolley drivers, delivering cooking gas have been harassing people in Old City and charging extravagantly besides the bill amount from LPG consumers. This is not confined to one particular agency of gas distributors but all the drivers of gas distributors like HP, Indane, Bharat and others are into this.

People are complaining that agency managements were not taking any action against the erring drivers and delivery boys. They are found to be collecting Rs 30 and 40 besides the bill amount.
The harassment is so rampant, and they threaten not to deliver the cylinder if someone denies the extra amount they demand. It is to be noted that many gas consumers have been forced to leave their subsidy on top of that, the harassment by delivery drivers has become a pain in the neck for the people.
These drivers and delivery boys do not spare poor people but even harass them to give them the extra amount. Mujeeb Khan from Kotla Alijah said that drivers force the women to pay more and threaten that cylinder will not be delivered if the extra amount was not paid.
“This is simply a mafia style of forceful loot from people”, he lamented. He said that when agency management was contacted, they simply ask not to pay extra but deny any assurance of taking action.
