Sale of assembled coolers zooms

Charminar: Assembled coolers business is picking up across the city these days and many people have started this seasonal business. The people who cannot afford the branded coolers or AC sets are extensively using assembled coolers and they are finding it very affordable and beneficial.

In wake of warning from weather department about a hotter summer this year, the business of assembled coolers may rake in moolah. These coolers are affordable for everyone and lower sections of society can afford to experience a cool summer thanks to the low rates.
Though there are some technical issues with such coolers people are buying those notwithstanding the ever growing temperatures. These coolers are of the range from Rs 1200 to Rs 4,000 in fibre material and Rs 2000 to Rs 8000 in iron material.

Akbar General Store proprietor from Kishanbagh said that he earns well with this business every year. He said that he was doing this business for past two years and was able to get a good profit though the prices of coolers not so high.

He said, “Everyone needs a cooler in city since the heat is unbearable. Branded coolers are not less than Rs 15000 whereas the assembled coolers are affordable for middle class and lower middle class also.”

These assembled coolers are made up of the material available in wholesale stores across the city. Businessmen don’t use genuine and standard material in the making of these coolers.

A watchman at an apartment Ramesh Murthy said that he bought one for Rs 3,000 and it was good. He says that it is noisy but keeps the room cool and seems necessary for the summer.
