Charlapalli prisoner climbs pole seeking justice
A life prisoner Khaja Pasha (34) of Charlapalli Central Jail who has been certified as well behaved by officials and allowed to work in nearby petrol bunk on Monday morning climbed the pole of 33 kv sub-station opposite the bunk demanding justice. During the protest, he alleged that Shankarpalli SI Nagaraju was responsible for his wife’s death and the subsequent life sentence in 2013.

Pasha of sherigudem in Ranga Reddy district, who has been serving the sentence since 2016, demanded suspension of SI. Only then he would come down. Jail Superintendent M R Bhaskar, staff of the Fire Services department and Kushaiguda ACP Krishnamurthy reached the spot and tried to pacify the prisoner. Later they stopped the power supply and brought a huge crane and to bring down the prisoner, thus ending the bizarre incident on a happy note.
