Nostalgia filled the air, when over 200 retired teachers from various science departments converged at the University College of Science, to attend the felicitation programme organised by Osmania University as a part of the Centenary celebrations.

Though retired from the University, the spring in their feet, the cheer on their faces, the exchange of pleasantries and the bonhomie reflected the joy and happiness on their visit to the institution they served for decades. Some retired faculty started arriving in as early as 2.30 pm to be ushered in by the volunteers to the conference hall, which was packed by the time the programme commenced.
Before felicitating them with a shawl, memento and a citation, Prof. S Ramachandram, Vice Chancellor, Osmania University, lauded the services of all the retired faculty and said that the “good work carried out by them has helped in the growth of the University.”
Stating that the University, in its centenary year, planned the felicitation programme as a part of its engagement with various stakeholders .
” Academic circles discuss the works carried out by you and your contribution to the University,” he said and added that University could manage A plus grading by the NAAC acknowledges your contribution by felicitating you in a befitting manner.
