Shapurnagar: Former MLA Kuna Srisailam Goud alleged here on Wednesday that the Congress Party activists and leaders were being arrested and detained in police stations to prevent them from extending support to the expelled legislators Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath, who are on fast in Gandhi Bhavan.
Goud and other Congress leaders were arrested by the Jeedimetla police while they were on the way to express solidarity with the fasting MLAs. He condemned the police action and said that the people would teach a lesson to TRS in the 2019 elections for its leaders’ ‘dictatorial attitude’. Among those who accompanied Goud were Lakshma Reddy, Lakshminarayana, Shiva.
