Besides the repair works at roof top, the cleaning and other temporary arrangements for Ramzan prayers also started.The repair works on the roof have been going on for past five months and are expected to be completed in next few months.

Charminar legislator Ahmed Pasha Quadri and Telangana government advisor A K Khan along with civic authorities visited the Mecca Masjid on Thursday and inspected the ongoing works. They asked the officials to complete the works in stipulated time. Officials of Minority Welfare and Waqf Board also accompanied them.

They interacted with the staff working at Mosque and instructed them to see that temporary arrangements for Ramzan are completed in time. The month of Ramzan is expected to commence from May 17 this year. Ahmed Pasha Quadri said that all arrangements for the Ramzan prayers would be completed in time and there will be no difficulty for drinking water during summer. AK Khan said that State government was making all possible efforts to ensure that people get proper facilities during the entire month of Ramzan.
