Army Boys Sports Company selection from May 16
Selection for the Army Boys Sports Company of Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre will be conducted at Thapar Stadium of AOC Centre in Secunderabad from May 16th to 18th. The selection will be held for Weight Lifting discipline.
Secunderabad: Selection for the Army Boys Sports Company of Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre will be conducted at Thapar Stadium of AOC Centre in Secunderabad from May 16th to 18th. The selection will be held for Weight Lifting discipline.
The candidates should be between 8 to 14 years of age as on May 16th to be eligible for the selection. Interested candidates are to report by 06:00 hrs on May 16th at the venue along with their original date of birth certificate, certificate from school indicating class in which he is studying presently, certificate of participation in district and above level sports, if any, and six copies of latest passport size photographs of the candidate.
Selected candidates will be provided free education up to 10th standard. They will be provided free boarding and lodging, free sports kit, school uniform and study material and free scientific coaching. It is mandatory for the sports cadets enrolled to join the Indian Army after passing 10th standard and attaining the 17 ½ years of age. Outstanding sportsmen will be enrolled as direct Havildar /Junior Commissioned Officer as per the existing policy.
