Stringent action would be taken against the people who resort to illegal activities at the Telangana and Karnataka border, warned the district Superintendent of Police T Annapurna. She said that three check posts have been set up at the border in the wake of Karnataka elections to curb malpractice.

The three check posts are at Ravulapalli under Kodangal police station limits, Kothlapur and Bopunaram in Bantvaram police station limits. Police at these check posts are on duty round the clock and every vehicle passing through will be thoroughly checked, the SP said.
All these check posts are covered under video surveillance, she added. People who cross the border with valuables should carry proper supported documents, she advised. She appealed the people to bring anything of suspicious to the notice of the people.
