Names being deleted from voters’ list: BJP

Hyderabad: Alleging that GHMC was indulging in illegal removal of names from voter list, a BJP delegation submitted a memorandum to Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy who is also Hyderabad District Election Officer on Wednesday.

The memorandum held that the genuine voters were being eliminated from the list at the behest of some local politicians who were influencing the entire GHMC machinery. They held that the officials working on this were either uninformed or does not know the procedure involved in the process.

While referring to the recent notice issued by High Court over the issue, the BJP leaders demanded the GHMC Commissioner to provide Nazari Naksha of each polling booth.
