Locals stage dharna for regular water supply
About 100 women and leaders of the Bahujan Left Front (BLF) on Monday staged a dharna in front of the HMWSSB GM office to protest against irregular water supply for the last one year in Srirama Colony, Ramanthapur, despite repeated representations to officials. Front leaders Yerram Srinivasulu and Lakshmi led the demonstration.

Front leaders Yerram Srinivasulu and Lakshmi led the demonstration.
On information, local corporator Gandham Nageswara Rao, board GM Kiran Kumar, Manager Ravi Kumar and officer Jangayya reached the dharna camp and assured that the water shortage problem would be immediately solved.
The protesters ended their sit-in dharna after getting the assurances from the senior officials. Among the BLF leaders and colony residents present were Murali Mohan, Vishnu, Lakshmi, Venkatamma, Nagamani, Aruna, Soumya, Kalpana, Rajani, Sukkamma.
