Qutbullapur: Officials are allegedly colluding with grabbers of government lands in this town, like 10 acres of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) in survey no 79 of Gajularamaram, which was laying vacant one and half years back. Now houses are being constructed in the land, despite the TSIIC putting up boards two years back.

The Revenue department officials placed the boards at different spots to protect the land with a warning that criminal action would be taken if they are removed. Yet the boards have been pulled out and house construction work taken up, showing how the officials are discharging their duties and their warning are being disregard by land-grabbers.

Several complaints against land-grabbing to officials of TSIIC and Revenue department have failed to get any response. It is learnt that each plot in survey no 79 is being sold for Rs.3 lakh to Rs.5 lakh. Local residents while brining this illegal occupation to the notice of The Hans India stated that officials are fully aware who the land grabbers are.

When THI took the issue to Qutbullapur MRO Bhupal he stated that the TSIIC land was not under his jurisdiction. However, he said the concerned officials would be informed. While TSIIC Zonal Managar Madhavi failed to respond, the Jeedimetla Commissioner asserted that no land grabber would be spared and that criminal cases would be registered against them.
