Harith Haram programme was launched at Gajwel Municipality office during the Council meeting on Friday. The meeting, which discussed BC corporation loans, was attended by the chairman of the Municipality G Bhaskar, Vice Chairman D Aruna, and Municipal Commissioner, other councillor, Forest Range officers, office staffers and sanitary workers who were presented the cheques of their pay hikes.

The chairman said the interviews for the BC loans will be conducted with applications soon. Later, Municipal chairman G Bhaskar presented a cheque of Rs 20,000 to the family of Municipal electric lineman who succumbed to the burn injuries at the hospital after he was electrocuted while working on a LT electric pole underneath an HT power line in the town on Wednesday.
