In spite of the government is campaigning Swachh Bharat, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials as well as the workers at far away to clean up the areas like Jagruti colony in Kondapur division, which  is witnessing mountains of trash in the area for the last 5 years. The residents of Kondapur are suffering from malaria and dengue. 

Kondapur: In spite of the government is campaigning Swachh Bharat, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials as well as the workers at far away to clean up the areas like Jagruti colony in Kondapur division, which is witnessing mountains of trash in the area for the last 5 years. The residents of Kondapur are suffering from malaria and dengue.

Dheeraj Murthy a resident said, “Situation of a pond in Jagruti colony with full of plastic, garbage and trash. There are two temples attached to this pond and devotees come here to visit and pray but because of the garbage there is a mosquito rampant”. If the pond is cleaned up there will be a better rain water conservation and contamination of ground water resources can be avoided, Murthy added.
