Vikarabad: Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Thursday visited the bereaved family members of the two women who were killed when an RTC bus and an auto rickshaw collided at Mirjapur Gate in Pudur mandal on Wednesday. The Minister assured all the support to the bereaved family members on behalf of the state government.

The deceased were identified as Samamma and Kishtamma. Later, the Minister visited the three injured in the incident at Government Hospital. When locals complained about the dereliction to duty, the Minister breathed fire on the government doctors. The Minister in an angry tone pointed out that the records specify a particular doctor is on duty, but he is not to be seen anywhere in the hospital. An unidentified person’s body was languishing in the hospital mortuary for the past 20 days without conducting post-mortem on it.

On learning about it from the locals that the decomposed body is emitting a reeking smell, the minister took the medical officer concerned and the SI Suresh to the task and minced no words when he said that the consequences would be serious if such an incident were to recur in future. Local MLA Sanjeeva Rao and District Collector Omar Jaleel also visited the injured in the hospital.
