People oppose transfer of GHMC EE

Quthubullapur: Drainage works in several colonies in the Quthubullapur assembly constituency remained unattended for the past several days on account of the ‘untimely’ transfer of the GHMC circle executive engineer who was transferred to Warangal. Several argue that the transfer was untimely as the new incumbent will take at least six months to acquaint himself with the circle. Meanwhile, if the election code of conduct were to come, it would be difficult to complete the execution of works. The outgoing officials used to get the works executed at a faster pace with his active involvement in the development works.

When The Hans India contacted Raj Kumar for his reaction, he said that he was at a loss of comprehension why he has been transferred leaving out several seniors in the division. He said he is transferred to the circle only in 2017. A rather unwilling Raj Kumar said that he has no choice except to accept the transfer orders.

In the event of the transfer, the total work load in Quthubullapur and Gajularamaram circles would be completely on Maheshwar Reddy. The people of the circle are of the view that Raj Kumar has been transferred out only to facilitate appointment of an influential officer in his place. The people are of the view to stall the transfer of Raj kumar till the development works initiated in the circle are completed. The people are appealing to the politicians and officials to shun their ego lest they should lose services of an efficient officer.
