Musheerabad: The Telangana Aided Colleges Temporary Staff Association on Friday demanded dropping of the proposal to bring back aided lecturers working in government colleges to aided institutions as it would harm the interests of the temporary lecturers.

Addressing the steering committee meeting of the association in V V College, its founder-adviser Nalla Radhakrishna raised the demand while making an appeal to the State government. He announced launch of relay hunger strike by the association in August to protect educational institutions. The association would launch a ‘chalo Assembly rally’ of the aided temporary lecturers during the monsoon session. This resolution was adopted by the steering committee.

Among those present at the meeting were general secretary of the association Dr Vijayalata, vice-president V Prabhakar Rao, Srinivasa Rao, Sivaprasad, Pandurangam, Mahesh, Ramakrishna.
