Laxman pulls up officials for improper road works

• GHMC, HMWSSB officials blame each other
• BJP MLA says lack of coordination among departments

Musheerabad: Local MLA and State BJP president Dr K Laxman on Tuesday inspected, along with officials of various departments, the recently completed pipeline works by the HMWSSB in Fish Market Road area.

He expressed anger over officials for failing to make the road fit for use although the pipeline work was over.

Oddly, officials of different departments, including GHMC and HMWSSB, complained against one another right in the presence of Dr Laxman.

While GHMC officials blamed HMWSSB for the delayed work, the latter claimed that it was not responsible.

After witnessing the squabbles, the MLA quipped that such situation would not prevail if there was coordinated work among officials.

He suggested to them to finish pending work on a war-footing so as to be able to complete it before the Bonalu festival, with a warning that such mistakes in future won’t be tolerated. Laxman advised officials to bring to his notice if they have any problems.

Later, the legislator held a review meeting in the constituency office with officials of various departments. Local leaders Shiva Mudiraj, Deendayal Reddy, Ram Reddy, Naveen were present.
