Cops’ family meet at Musheerabad Police Station

Musheerabad: Families of police officials were invited at Musheerabad Police Station on Sunday. Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad Anjani Kumar and his spouse Vasundhara Sinha received them and graced the occasion. The purpose of the event was to introduce the family members and children of cops to the working environment of their husbands and fathers.

More than 250 family members attended the function. There was lot of excitement as most of the family members said that it was their first visit to police station where their husband was working. Kumar explained ‘citizen-friendly policing’ was the need of the hour. Every policeman should attract smiles from common public. The initiative and practice have become a global phenomenon where family members were being invited to see the work place.”

Vasundhara said, “The cops should take care of the wives and spend more time with them.” And narrated instances where the Commissioner could not attend birthday functions of the children because of official commitments. She said that as a wife of police officer there were many challenges and she could feel the sentiments of the family members of all the policemen.
