Hyderabad: In a case of petty quarrels turning serious among friends, the Chikkadpally police on Sunday apprehended a labourer for killing his co-worker by slitting his throat with a razor. According to police, the accused Nagaraju of Kallur village in Kurnool district and N Gangadhar used to earn their livelihood by working at constructions sites. Both the workers were in habit of consuming alcohol and used to enter into heated arguments on petty issues, police said. Nagaraju confessed that he developed animosity towards Gangadhar for his frequent quarrels. On April 19 evening, after both of them had consumed liquor at a nala near Nallakunta, Nagaraju took Gangadhar, who had lost his senses and was unable to move due to intoxication, to a pavement near Padma Colony in Chikkadpally and slit his throat with a shaving razor and escaped. Later, Gangadhar died because of the heavy bleeding, police said. The police seized his blood-stained clothes and razor used for the murder and produced him before the magistrate.
