It turned out to be a scary morning for the students of SR Digi School in Dilshuknagar, following a bomb hoax call on Tuesday. The school that reopened on Monday after a two-month long summer vacation suspended classes following the hoax call on the Principal's number.

"I received a call from an unknown number at 10.43 am. The person online said that the bomb has been planted in the school and hung up the phone. As soon as we received the call, we contacted Malakpet police," SR Digi School Principal Rama Devi said. The school had 450 students when the call came in. "Some students were playing in the ground and others were there in the classes. We sent out every student from the school premises immediately," she added.

"We reached the school within couple of minutes. After thorough search with the bomb squad and sniffer dogs for two hours, we learnt that it was a hoax call. The number has been traced to Bandarupalli village. There are villages with the same name in three district of the State. We will trace out the number and person soon," Malakpet Circle Inspector N Satyanarayana said.
