kotari srinivas raoHyderabad: Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu tried to rehash his old policies in a new format at the recently concluded Mahanadu, Lok Satta chief Katari Srinivas Rao observed on Thursday.A In a press statement issued here, Srinivas Rao pointed out that TDP failed to unveil any new policies to bale the State out of the present crisis.

He was critical of the party's silent attitude on empowering the local government with devolution of power and resources, which was a pet dream of TDP founder N T Rama Rao.A "Telugu Desam did not even give a clarification on how many ordinary youth would be given tickets as part of its 33 per cent quota, since it is the children of the party leaders including Chandrababu Naidu who hogged the limelight at Mahanadu," the Lok Satta leader added.

Telugu Desam Party, which is as guilty as the Congress for plunging the State into a crisis on Telangana, had failed to come up with a solution like passing of a resolution in the Assembly, Srinivas added.A Srinivas Rao debunked TDP's claim that its income in 2012-13 was only Rs 2.10 crore and expenditure was Rs 5.40 crore. If the party revealed how it managed to conduct Mahanadu and the padayatra on a grand scale with such a meagre budget, Lok Satta would like to emulate it and strengthen itself, he added.
