APNGOs to go ahead with Sept 7 meeting

The APNGOs leader Ashok Babu on Monday called upon the people of Seemandhra region staying in Telangana region to see that at least one person per family attends the proposed ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ public meeting on September 7. Addressing the media, Ashok Babu said that the leaders would approach the Government and the Police department for permission to hold the public meeting. He said they would assure the authorities that it would be their responsibility to ensure that the meeting passes off peacefully.

Hyderabad: The APNGOs leader Ashok Babu on Monday called upon the people of Seemandhra region staying in Telangana region to see that at least one person per family attends the proposed ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ public meeting on September 7.
Addressing the media, Ashok Babu said that the leaders would approach the Government and the Police department for permission to hold the public meeting. He said they would assure the authorities that it would be their responsibility to ensure that the meeting passes off peacefully.
He also said that since it would be held on non party basis, no political party leader will be permitted to speak. Intellectuals, NGOs, teachers and other sections will be participating in the meeting. A coordination committee has also been constituted to chalk out minute-to-minute programme, he added. If the government fails to give permission then they would approach the High Court and explain the purpose of the meeting. Ashok Babu said the politicians, advocates and others have been saying that they would allow the Seemandhra people to live safely in Hyderabad after bifurcation and hence they should cooperate with them.
