Jewellery Worker's Son Abducted, Akash Majie Kidnapping, Kidnap Case. A jewellery worker’s two-and-half-yearold son, Akash Majie, was kidnapped from his house at Rikabgunj under Charminar police limits on Saturday.
A jewellery worker’s two-and-half-yearold son, Akash Majie, was kidnapped from his house at Rikabgunj under Charminar police limits on Saturday. The incident occurred at around 1.30 pm on Saturday when the boy’s parents, Gopalchandra Majie and Archana Majie, were having their lunch. To pacify the fussy child, Ram Prasad, a relative of Gopal, took him outside the house to buy some firecrackers but did not return.
The troubled parents filed a kidnap case against Ram Prasad at Charminar police station when the child did not return till late night. Hailing from West Bengal, Gopal and his family came to city seven years ago. He is presently working as a jewellery worker in the Old City. Motive behind the abduction was not yet known. Akash’s parents too were clueless and maintained that they had no enmity with Ram Prasad. The abductor did not make any ransom calls as of yet, the police confirmed. Police registered a case under Section 363 (kidnap) of the IPC and efforts were being made to nab the kidnapper.
