About 50 room heaters have been kept in different animal enclosures of monkeys, tigers, lions, cheetah, jaguar, panther, snakes and bird enclosures.
Maqsood Mohiuddin, assistant curator, NZP, said that temperatures are falling with each passing day. “It gets very cold at night and wind blows across the zoo. The night enclosures are provided with gunny bags to stop the wind,” he said.
