Hyderabad-based Narayana Hrudayalaya and India Health Organisation Pvt. Ltd were among the winners at the first India Health and Wellness Summit (IHWS) in New Delhi recently. While Narayana Hrudayalaya Pvt. Ltd was adjudged the Super Specialty Hospital of the Year, dermatologist Dr Chytra V Ananda’s Kosmoderma Skin, Hair & Laser Clinic was chosen as the Medical Aesthetics Chain of the Year.

India Health Organisation Pvt. Ltd was selected as the Preventive Healthcare Provider of the Year. Dr Rashmi Shetty, whose medical aesthetics chain Ra Skin & Aesthetics also operates in the city, was awarded the Promising Achiever of the Year. The summit starred some of the leading names in the Indian healthcare sector coming together to discuss concerns and devise solutions in the field.

Tourism minister Shripad Yesso Naik gave away the awards, which were given in 30 categories. Dr Sanjay Jaiswal, member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on health and family welfare, lead the jury. Cardiologist Dr Ashok Seth was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the field. Cosmetologist Dr Jamuna Pai was awarded the Pioneering Role in Cosmetic Medicine and Dr Shrilata S Trasi was chosen as the Dermatologist of the Year.

Other winners were IOSIS Spa & Wellness Pvt. Ltd (Spa Brand of the Year); Kairali Ayurvedic Group (Wellness Centre Chain of the Year); VLCC Healthcare Ltd (Wellness Products Brand of the Year); Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital (Single Speciality Hospital of the Year); Dr Chiranjiv Chhabra (Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year); Dr Anoop Misra (Excellence in Diabetic Care); Kohinoor Hospital (Eco-Friendly Hospital of the Year); Healthcare at Home (Ancillary Healthcare Provider of the Year).
