Suchitra Center or Suchitra X Roads is one of the fastest growing suburbs. The place has become an important landmark on Bowenpally-Medchal Road. Suchitra X Roads lead to Chintal, Shahpur, Jeedimetla IDA and Alwal via Loyola College. The place has got many amenities like schools, colleges, banks, hospitals, restaurants, besides big electronic showrooms. Currently a shopping mall is under construction which will have multiplex cinemas with 10 screens, food courts, shops and hyper market.
Suchitra is a also known for its numerous colonies like BHEL Avenue, Praga Tools Colony, Sri Durga Estates, Raghavendra Colony, Gayatri Nagar, Bank Colony, MN Reddy Nagar, Ramaraju Nagar, Jayaram Nagar, Venkateshwara Colony, New Manikyanagar, Godavari Homes and many apartments like Shantha Sriram satellite township and many more.
Clean highway flanked with greenery is a unique attraction and it facilitates safe driving to large number of commuters and heavy vehicle road users. With domination of educational institutions and other facilities, Suchitra is drawing parallels to Kukapally. It is 15 kilometres from the Secunderabad Railway Station and 30 kilometres from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
History:
The entire area around Suchitra was once a hub for grape gardens and farm houses owned by Kshatriya community since 1960. The area got its name because of an electronic component unit Suchitra Electronics Ltd, which was a major landmark.
Problems:
According to locals the State government has given permission to expand the MMTS phase II in different directions, which is being delayed due to administrative reasons. Presently, the MMTS service is run between Lingampally-Nampally, Lingampally-Falaknuma and Falaknuma-Nampally. The proposal to spread its reach to Shamshabad, Ghatkesar, Medchal and Patancheru is on paper and needs to be paced up.
Also, the Suchitra X Roads is witnessing heaving traffic jams during peak hours because of its highway connect and link to various schools and colleges. Another reason for the jam is that the four track road from Medchal towards Bowenpally has now turned to a three track road. Locals demand a kilometre’s stretch of service road from Suchitra Junction to Bowenpally. If army agrees to give a piece of their land, the entire traffic issue would be solved permanently.
