The Commissioner informed that steps are being taken to install 10,000 closed-circuit cameras in the entire Commissionerate of which 2000 would be funded by the State government.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner, C V Anand called for the adoption of innovative and new techniques to bring down the crime rate and especially the property offenses in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits.
In a meeting held with over 200 police officers of the rank of Inspector and above, he asked the officers to plan better ways to secure their respective station limits and encourage the public to take part in community policing to reduce petty and street level crimes. “There has been a huge decline of property offenses by 32% in the first quarter of 2016 as against last year. In order to maintain this healthy reduction of crime, more effective steps including community policing are necessary,” he said.
The Commissioner informed that steps are being taken to install 10,000 closed-circuit cameras in the entire Commissionerate of which 2000 would be funded by the State government. The Commissioner also asked the officers to strictly implement the City Police Act to reduce petty crime and nuisance on the streets.
