Even though it appears to be a daunting task, it doesn’t have to be the same for everyone – just follow these basic steps which will help you make a good first impression.

The right time:

Don’t rush your guy into meeting his parents without a perfect plan. First of all, make sure your guy has chosen the right time to approach his parents as it could be beneficial for you if the timing is right.

Research:

Do your research about the family, whether the parents are together or divorced, whether it is a joint family or a nuclear one. Ask your guy to show pictures of the family so that you can learn the names easy to identify the person.

Venue:

Right location is quite important to impress your future in laws. First impression is the best impression, so try to grab their attention while choosing a best place for meeting them. Prefer for going restaurants which is quiet instead of noisy and crowded.

Gifts:

Find out from your guy which gift would be more suitable for them. Perhaps, a box of expensive chocolates would do the trick.

Attire:

While meeting your future in laws, make sure you dress well. Avoid Mini Skirts, or any casual attire. Don’t put too much make up on your face and prefer simple yet classy attire as most of the parents notice the way one dresses rather than the talk.

Conversation:

One of the most important things in the meeting is to speak politely. Hear them out; don’t interrupt while they talk as it can annoy anyone.
