Washington: The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has ruled that YouTube can host the short film "Innocence of Muslims", a "trailer" for a low-budget film that mocks Prophet Muhammad.

According to The Verge, Youtube had blocked the film in some countries.

The reason why the court ordered Youtube to take the video down was the result of a disgruntled actor and a controversial copyright decision that judges now say infringed on Google's First Amendment rights.

However, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has now reversed the decision.
