Rajampet (Kadapa): The Mahapadayatra to Tirumala led by Bharat Kisan Sangh State Vice-President Paryada Anji Reddy reached here on Tuesday. Anji Reddy along with Dr K Narayana Reddy, M Manohar Reddy, Gopal Reddy and C Venkat Reddy started the padayatra on January 26 from Medak district. Speaking on the occasion, Anji Reddy said that the State government should purchase agricultural produce at a Minimum Support Price (MSP) of 30 per cent above the production cost. They also demanded to waive off transport regulations on agricultural commodities, to permit exports of farm produce, separate budget for agriculture and also a pension of Rs 2000 for every farmer who completes 60 years. He said that the padayatra would conclude on March 29 at Tirupati and requested all the farmers to participate in the Mahasabha at Indira Grounds and make it a big success.
