Kadapa: The Samaikyandhra agitation is taking new turns with each passing day. The supporters of united State formed a human chain by kneeling down at the Seven Roads Junction in Kadapa town on Sunday. They criticised that Central Ministers, MPs and MLAs are not taking part in the agitation when public from all walks of life are participating voluntarily. They demanded them to join the agitation and raised slogans against UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Central Ministers Chidambaram, Anthony and Digvijay Singh.
Excluding the District Collector and Joint Collector, all district officials took part in the agitation against separate Telangana State. Rallies and dharnas are continuing as usual. RTC buses are confined to depots only. The hunger strike of TDP MLA Linga Reddy, teachers JAC and revenue staff was continuing.
TDP senior leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy praised TDP MPs for fighting against State’s division at Delhi since 10 days and is still continuing. He warned TRS leaders Harish Rao and others not to provoke Seemandhra people with their statements.
Women supporters of Samaikyandhra broke 120 coconuts at Sri Agastesvara Swamy and Sri Rajarajeswari Devi in Proddatur town on Sunday to change the mindset of Sonia Gandhi. Friends Cricket Association members played cricket on road. RTPP employees and their family members took out a rally in the town. About 200 teachers took part in relay hunger strike at Rayachoti.
Arya Samaj members of Jammalamadugu town conducted Yagam here on Sunday requested the Gods to keep the State united. YSRCP MLC C Narayana Reddy, Jammalamadugu former Municipal Chairman Tatireddy Suryanarayana Reddy took part in the programme.
