Kadapa: The agitation, which was launched 34 days ago, was still going strong as the people belonging to all walks of life are taking part. The district was reverberated with rallies and protests. Similarly, the political leaders irrespective of party affiliations are expressing their solidarity with the agitators.
The municipal employees across the district, including Kadapa, boycotted their duties here on Tuesday and took out rallies and staged protests in favour of unified State. The private school managements took out rallies and lashed out at the Central government for dividing the State. They alleged that though the movement was going on for several days the Centre was keeping mum. They asserted they would continue their stir till the UPA government takes back its decision. Notably, a large Samaikyandhra balloon was released under the aegis of District Officers Association. Additional Joint Collector Sudershan Reddy said that the balloon was released to encourage the supporters of united State, who have been agitating for the past 35 days.
YSRCP leader and DCMS chairman Vishuvardhan Reddy’s fast entered second at the Collectorate. Similarly, Railway Koduru TDP in-charge Ajay Kumar, teachers JAC and NGOs relay fasts were going on. Not a single bus ventured out of bus depots since one month as the RTC employees are taking part in the stir. Rayachoti: The people in Seemandhra have been agitating for the past 35 days demanding the UPA government to keep the State united. There was no let up in the intensity of the stir as the people are expressing doubts over the future of their kids with bifurcation.
