Actor Kantha Rao remembered
On Thursday, Reddy received the award instituted in the name of Kantha Rao at a function organised by Nalgonda Film Society at China Venkatreddy Function hall in Nalgonda on the occasion of Kantha Rao’s 93rd Jayanthi.
Nalgonda: Cine actor Jayaprakash Reddy described late actor Kantha Rao as a folk legend and a talented person akin to former Chief Minister and great hero late N T Rama Rao.
On Thursday, Reddy received the award instituted in the name of Kantha Rao at a function organised by Nalgonda Film Society at China Venkatreddy Function hall in Nalgonda on the occasion of Kantha Rao’s 93rd Jayanthi.
He paid tributes to Kantha Rao before accepting the award. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Reddy said Kantha Rao, who acted in over 500 films, emerged as a folk hero.
Director Relangi Narisimha Rao, who was present at the award function, remembered the contribution of Kantha Rao to the film industry. Fans of the legendary actor and others took part in the programme.
