Explaining about the mobile app, SP informed that details of the criminals would be traced out by the app through his or her finger prints. Estimated maintenance cost of the project is Rs 6 lakh, but being a pilot project, organisation that developed the app, Quadrium, signed the Memorandum of Understanding for only Rs 3 lakh with Suryapet police, she added.

Suryapet: District Collector Surendra Mohan along with SP Parimala Nutan launched finger print identification network services (FINS) on Friday.

Appreciating the innovative FINS, the District Collector announced Rs 1 lakh contribution from district administration.SP Parimala thanked the Collector and Quadrium officials for their cooperation. On the occasion, the Collector directed the SP to take stringent action against illegal sand transporters in the district and also on officials who support them.
