Hanamkonda: The leaders of Munnuru Kapu Sangham have been making serious efforts to achieve Munnuru Kapu Development Corporation for the welfare of the community.

It might be noted that on February 12, a meeting was held at Mahabubabad with the demand of creating Munnuru Kapu Development Corporation and seeking allocation of Rs 5,000 crore towards activities ensuring development of the community.

Buoyed with the success of Mahabubabad meeting, the Sangham was now planning to organise similar meetings in all the 31 districts in the State. The meetings were aimed at uniting the community members and garnering their support to the cause of creating the corporation.

In order to discuss the issue and to chalk out a detailed plan of action, a meeting was held recently in Hanamkonda under the chairmanship of the community leader Katakam Pentaiah. The community leaders from different districts attended the meeting cutting across the party lines.

TRS MLC K Muralidhar Rao, leaders Gaineni Rajan, Neelam Srinivas, N Kumaraswamy, Sakinala Shoban, EV Srinivas Rao, N Shanti Kumar, Kola Janardhan, Jinnareddy Venkanna, K Venugopal and others attended the meeting and shared their views.

Addressing the gathering, Muralidhar Rao has stressed on the need of standing united irrespective of the political party they represent to achieve the corporation with the support of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

The community members should lend their part in creating ‘Golden Telangana’ as aspired by the CM; he added hoping that the CM would concede to the demand of creating Munnuru Kapu Development Corporation.
