Toddler falls into bucket full of water, dies in Suryapet
In a tragic incident, a two-year-old girl fell into a bucket full of water and drowned. The incident took place at Khanapuram village of Ananthagiri mandal in Suryapet district on Thursday.
Kodad: In a tragic incident, a two-year-old girl fell into a bucket full of water and drowned. The incident took place at Khanapuram village of Ananthagiri mandal in Suryapet district on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Donthagani Jyothi Ashwini, native of Kusumanchi village of Khammam district.
According to kin of the deceased, the girl and her mother came to her grandmother’s house at Khanapuram village some 15 days ago. On Thursday, when the family members went for agriculture work, Ashwini’s mother, Priyankavalli, was busy with some work.
Meanwhile, the girl playing on the premises of the house went to the bathroom and fell in the bucket filled with water upside down. She soon died. When her mother searched for Ashwini, she found her dead body in the bucket.
Police registered a case and took up the investigation.
