Bhadrachalam: Telugu Desam president of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district Koneru Satyanarayana called upon the TDP activists to tighten their belts to ensure the party’s victory in the 2019 polls.

Speaking as chief guest at the Assembly constituency-level general body meeting of the party here on Monday, he said the countdown to prepare the party for the next elections has begun.

Assuring the party rank and file to remain accessible full-time hereafter, he appealed to them to strengthen the party from the booth level. He blamed the then UPA government at the Centre and the TRS government in the State for dividing the temple town into three parts.

Contrary to announcing release of Rs 100 crore to Bhadradri temple development, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao did not release a single rupee so far. People are ready to ensure TDP victory in all five Assembly constituencies, he said.

TDP leaders who spoke earlier noted that the TDP was stronger in the district organisationally and leaving the party by some selfish elements would have no impact on it. They opined that no force on earth would be able to stop the electoral victory of the TDP in the next Assembly elections.

The party leaders and activists felicitated Satyanarayana, who was on a maiden visit to the temple town, with a huge garland.

TDP Assembly Constituency in-charge Komaram Phaneeswaramma presided over the meeting. TDP state secretary K Krishna Mohan, mandal TDP president SK Ali Pasha, secretary Kunarapu Ramu, ZPTC member Godeti Ravi Kumar, MPP Ooke Santamma, party leaders Ranga Rao, Kunchala Raja Rao, Kodali Srinu, Sanka Venkata Nagesh, Kambhampati Suresh, YVS Durga Chowdary and others attended the meeting.
