Deeksha Viramana performed
Punarvasu Deeksha Viramana programme was performed with religious fervor at the Sitaramachandraswamy temple here on Wednesday.
Bhadrachalam: Punarvasu Deeksha Viramana programme was performed with religious fervor at the Sitaramachandraswamy temple here on Wednesday.
The Temple priest Srirama Deekshitulu took a holy dip in River Godavari and later made the swamis observing the deeksha to perform Vishvaksena Puja, Punyahavachanam and performed Ashtottaram.
Later, he made the swamis wear Irumudi on their heads. The priest participated in the Sankshepa Ramayana Havanam. A Ratha Seva for Lord was performed in a silver chariot in the night.
On Thursday, grand coronation of the deities will be performed for the benefit of the swamis. Temple engineering divisional engineer V Ravindranath, supervisors Kanaka Durga, Bhavani Krishna Rao, temple’s main priest Podicheti Jagannadhacharyulu and others took part.
