Hanamkonda: The Telugu Desam Party found fault with the TRS government for not recognising the contributions made by the legendary NT Rama Rao.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, party’s State general secretary and Urban district president Eega Mallesham criticised the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, for ignoring NTR at the World Telugu Conference (WTC), who fought for the self-respect of Telugus.

“NTR is the man, who evoked political awareness among the masses and brought recognition to Telugu people at a time when Telugu-speaking people were seen as Madrasis,” Mallesham said, criticising the Chief Minister for ignoring the great man.

Further the TDP leader termed the ongoing World Telugu Conference as Telangana Telugu Conference as the government failed to invite the Chief Minister of neighbouring State Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu.

He also found fault with the Governor ESL Narasimhan for not taking initiative in such matters. The Governor would have intervened and invited AP CM, he added.
