Mahbubnagar: District Collector Ronald Rose on Wednesday directed the Tahsildars and other Revenue staff in the district to start preparation for the 2nd phase of land purification drive and ensure error free and transparency before uploading the rectified land records into the website.

Speaking at the Revenue Dairy inauguration programme at Zilla Parishad Meeting hall in the district, the Collector appraised the Revenue Officials in the district for completing the revenue land records purification drive with in the targeted time frame. However, he asked the Revenue Officials to get ready for the second phase of the land record purification drive and directed the Revenue Officials to conduct ‘Grama Sabhas’ in every village and put before the villagers and farmers about the rectifications done in the form 1B application of land records.

“As part of the second phase of land record purification drive all the Tahasildars and other Revenue staff have been directed to conduct ‘Grama Sabhas’ in each and every village before updating the corrected records into the website. This is done to weed out if there are any doubts or errors that may have taken place during the land purification survey. This will also ensure transparency of land records before being uploaded into the computers,” observed the Collector.

The Collector reviewed the work done by the Revenue Officials and said that so far there was not a single complaint received against any discrepancies in the land purification drive. He said this shows how dedicated the Revenue staff had worked and ensured transparency in their work.

However, the Collector asked the officials to be cautious while dealing with duplicate and double land survey numbers and directed them reinspect in detail before rectifying the final land records. Laxminarayana, RDO Mahbubagar, Komaraiah ZP CEO, Andand Kumar from DRDA, Tahasildars, VROs, VRAs and Revenue staff concerned from all the mandals took part in the meeting.
