Mahbubnagar: The irate villagers of Nandigama village of Maddur mandal in the district blocked the vehicles of firebrand Congress leader Revanth Reddy and his aides after the leader’s vehicle had hit a foundation tone laid in the village. The villagers sought an explanation from the MLA and his followers over the incident. However, sensing trouble, Revanth Reddy escaped from the village and went away from the agitating mob on a bike.

As the villagers grew angry, they blocked the road and demanded immediate arrest of Revanth Reddy. The police immediately swung into action and tried to pacify the villagers. However, the villagers entered into an altercation with the police and accused the police of supporting the Kodangal MLA.

They lodged complaints with the Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and other people’s representatives from the TRS. Earlier, a person named Ramakrishna Reddy and two others villagers were injured while they had a scuffle with the Congress party workers during the protest.
