Equal rights for women stressed

State Literary Academy Chairman Nandini Sidda Reddy on Tuesday stressed the need to ensure equal opportunities women. He attended as chief guest at the women’s day celebrations organised by Inner Wheel Club, DRDA and Bhongir Sub-division police jointly at Sumangali function hall in Bhongir.

He attended as chief guest at the women’s day celebrations organised by Inner Wheel Club, DRDA and Bhongir Sub-division police jointly at Sumangali function hall in Bhongir.

Addressing the gathering, he said women’s rights were being suppressed by men in many forms. He expressed concern over increasing attacks on women.He expressed concern over the domination of cell phones in daily life.Stating that the government was taking all measures for the welfare of women in the State, he said it was the responsibility of everyone to respect women.

In this meeting District Collector Anitha Ramachandran, Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bagavath, DCP Ramachandra Reddy, MLA Shrkar Reddy, MLC Krishna Reddy, Muncipal Chairperson Lavanya and large number of women participated.
