Kothagudem: Bhadradri-Kothagudem district will develop in all fields within a short period, once the Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project is completed, stated KT Rama Rao, Municipal Administration and IT Minister.

He inaugurated various development programmes in the coal town on Tuesday. Later speaking at a public meeting at Pragathi Grounds here, KTR said that the government was committed to develop all the district in the State. In fact it is the dream of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, he added.

The Minsiter said that the district will get more factories, providing employment to the local youth. If the Central government won’t agree to set up steel plant here, the State government is ready to establish the plant in Palvoncha, he stated. The party MPs will raise the issue of setting up of steel plant at Bayyaram in the Parliament.

KTR assured that the dream project of Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project will be completed as per the schedule. As part of the development of all temples in the State, Bhadrachalm temple will be developed with Rs 100 crores, which was clearly mentioned in the budget.

The establishment of airport in the coal town will develop the district fastly, he said. KTR remembered the services of former chief minister Jalagam Vengal Rao to the district.Before the meeting, the IT Minister inaugurated the new collectorate building works, skill center and Arogya Laxmi center.

Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy, Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Khammam MP Pounguleti Srinivas Reddy, District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, SCCL Director Chandra Sekhar and others accompanied the Miniter.
