Nagarkurnool: One person was killed and 13 others were injured in two different accidents in Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy districts on Thursday. In the first incident, an overloaded auto-rickshaw carrying a marriage party turned turtle at Nagaram village in Wanaparthy district, injuring passengers.
According to the police, a group of 13 people were returning from a marriage at Kottakota mandal in Wanaparthy district. The auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling fell into a road side pit at near Nagaram Village.
All the 13 people were injured seriously and immediately shifted to Wanaparthy area hospital for treatment. In another incident, one person, named Chenchu Banni of BK Uppunutala village of Amrabad village in Nagarkurnool district, was killed when he came in contact with a live wire erected around agriculture land.
The paddy field farmers of Tatikuntabavi village have erected electric fencing to protect their crops from forest animals like wild boars and goose. But unfortunately, Banni, who went out to see the farm, came in contact with live eclectic wire. The Ambrabad police have booked a case and shifted the body to the hospital for postmortem.
