Khammam: Educationist T Narsaiah here on Friday exhorted the students to launch a movement against the anti-student policies being adopted by both the State and Central governments.

The Students Federation of India (SFI) organised a seminar on higher education and the problems being faced by students.
Attending as a chief guest at the seminar, Narsaiah alleged that the higher education is in crisis. The State and Central governments had made meagre allotment for higher education, he said.

The Dr. Kotari Commission recommended higher allotment for education sector. But the successive governments had failed to implement the recommendations.

The private and corporate educational institutions are doing business to the tune of Rs 35 lakh crore in the country. The governments are trying to get out of responsibility of education by encouraging privateuniversities,he said.Representatives of the SFI Ch Ramesh, T Nagaraju, Ashok and Gayatri were present along
with others.
