Mahbubnagar: The Badi Baata programme was launched in Mahbubnagar, Wanaparthy, Gadwal and Nagarkurnool districts on Wednesday. The week-long programme is mainly aimed at creating awareness among the parents to send their children to the schools. As part of the programme, the teachers along with people’s representatives took part in Ákshara Abhyasam, free books and uniform distribution programme in various parts of the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district.

In Gadwal district, Sampath Kumar, Congress MLA, Alampur, took part in the Badi Baata programme in Itikyala mandal at Zillah Parishad High School and distributed books and uniforms to the students. Later, he also conducted ‘Akshara Anhyasam’ to the students who had newly enrolled in the school.

In Nagarkurnool district, Guvvala Balaraju, MLA, Achampet, participated in a Badi Baata programme conducted at Zillah Parishad high school in Balmur mandal. He took classes to the students on the occasion and explained the importance of education to the student.

In Mahbubnagar district, the District Education Officer launched the Badi Baata programme at ZPHS Marikal and distributed free books and uniforms to the students. He urged the parents and teachers to work in coordination to ensure that the children pass the examinations with flying colours.

“The final results of students depend mainly on the efforts of teachers and parents. It is with their continuous monitoring and encouragement that the students will try their best to come out with flying colours. Therefore, parents and students must continuously be in touch with the students and monitor him to get best results,” observed the DEO.
