Khammam: A massive protest will be staged in front of the District Collectorate on June 25 demanding that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) government to fulfil it poll promises, according to Two Town Secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Y Vikram here on Tuesday.

The leaders of the CPI-M Two Town Committee under Bahujana Left Front (BLF) banner conducted household survey in 35 and 36 divisions in the city on the problems being faced by the people.

Speaking on the occasion, Vikram alleged that Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar and Municipal Corporation officials had failed in addressing the problems being faced by the people at Mammillagudem.

The TRS government had failed to address the various issues such as construction of railway bridge, underground drainage system and 2BHK houses, besides providing other basic facilities to the people, he said.

He appealed to the people of all sections, youth and representatives of various people’s organisations, to participate in the protest in large numbers and make it a grand success.

CPI-M party leaders Bhukya Upendar Naik, Student Federation of India (SFI) District Secretary T Naga Raju, P Vasu, Machha Suryam, Fakir Saheb and Ashok were present at the programme.
