Mahbubnagar: The three day international conference on ‘Chemistry for Sustainable Future’ held at Palamuru University concluded on Thursday. The conference was held from August 7 to Auguste 9.
During the event, dignitaries and expert speakers from leading universities like IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Hyderabad and renowned Universities from United Kingdom took part and discussed various topics related to Chemistry and its future sustenance. The conference witnessed over 130 poster and 40 oral presentations by research scholars.
While taking part as a Chief Guest during the valedictory function, Vice Chancellor of Palamuru University (PU) Prof Raja Ratnam, congratulated the department of Integrated Chemistry for having conducted the three day International conference successfully. The VC also expressed hope that other departments in the university would also think of conducting such conferences and scientific discussions.
“I convey my greetings to all the participants and dignitaries who had come all the way from UK and various other parts of the country to make this international conference a grand success.
I should say the department of integrated chemistry has done tremendous job in successfully hosting this conference and I am hopeful that other departments are also encouraged by this conference and would take up many more such scientific and social discussion forums in the coming days,” the VC said.
The registrar of PU Prof I Panduranga Reddy said that conducting such meaningful conference is important for an upcoming university like PU as it will help inculcate new ideas and plans for its future development.
“We always welcome to conduct many more such meaningful conferences and discussion forums. It will not only help brighten the reputation of the university, but the students and the faculty will also gain lot of knowledge and experience.
It can give more confidence for them to take up further bigger events in the future,” Registrar said. Convener of the conference Prof N Y S Murthy said, “It has been a great conference and during the past 3 day of the conference about 130 poster presentations and 40 oral presentations were conducted.” Prof Yerrabally Jayaprash Rao and Prof Vital have acted as juries for these presentations.
Dr Chandrakiran, organising secretary of the conference during his vote of thanks, thanked the delegates and university authorities for making the event a grand success.
